Der Wiener Maler und Schlagzeuger Stefan Sandner spielt Subutteo in der österreichischen Subutteo Liga auf dem Niveau europäischer Turniere. Die Videoaufnahmen entstanden bei einem Turnier in Wien im Strabag Forum. Zeit und Raum werden in diesem Spiel in kleinste Einheiten aufgeteilt und verteilt. Agiert wird wie im Billiard nach der Logik von Einfalls- und Ausfallwinkel. Körper und Hände begegnen sich. Diese artifizielle Modellwelt mit Abildcharakter bringt Menschen, vorwiegend Männer, aus sozial und geografisch unterschiedlichsten Regionen spielerisch zusammen. Der Soundtrack wurde von Stefan Sandner am Schlagzeug eingespielt und greift den Aspekt der ausgeprägten Zeitbasiertheit des Subutteo Spiels, Sekunden werden hier gezählt, auf.
Viennese painter and drummer Stefan Sandner plays Subutteo in the Austrian Subutteo League at the level of European tournaments. The video footage was shot during a tournament at the Strabag Forum in Vienna. In this game, time and space are divided into the smallest units and distributed. Just like in billiards, play follows the logic of angles of incidence and reflection. Bodies and hands come into contact. This artificial, model-like world brings people—primarily men—from a wide variety of social and geographic backgrounds together in a playful way. The soundtrack was recorded by Stefan Sandner on drums and captures the distinctly time-based nature of the Subutteo game, where seconds are counted.
